2 Saudi astronauts trained in response to emergencies
The Saudi Space Commission has announced that the two Saudi astronauts Rayyanah Barnawi and Ali Al-Qarni are currently undergoing the response to emergencies training, which is among the simulating programs of the Health Emergency Preparedness and Response (HERA).
The commission noted that this kind of training requires the mission crew to show their capabilities in making appropriate decisions and actions for several kinds of emergencies.
It is worth mentioning that the space expedition of the two Saudi astronauts Rayyanah Barnawi and Ali Al-Qarni had been announced earlier that it will embark on May 9 of the current year.
The commission has revealed the tasks and scientific research that will be conducted during Barnawi and Al-Qarni’s space expedition, as part of the crew of the space mission at the International Space Station (ISS), within Saudi Arabia’s program for astronauts.
They will conduct pioneering scientific research experiments in many fields such as human research, cell sciences, microgravity, as well as weightlessness in space.
The results of these researches will enhance Saudi Arabia’s position globally in space exploration, serving and benefiting humanity, as well as confirming the role of the Saudi Research Center in making a scientific impact in this field.
The two Saudi astronauts will also conduct 3 educational awareness experiments.
