One hundred forty-two women soldiers graduated from the Women’s Training Institute in Saudi Arabia. The ceremony held in Makkah was attended by Minister of Interior Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif and Public Security Director Lt. Gen. Muhammad Al-Bassami. Saudi Arabia has allowed women to serve in the armed forces since 2019, with opportunities to join multiple military branches and ranks.
A significant milestone was achieved as 142 female soldiers graduated from the Women’s Training Institute under the Directorate of Public Security.
The celebratory event marked the sixth batch of women soldiers and was held under the patronage of Minister of Interior Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif.
Public Security Director Lt. Gen. Muhammad Al-Bassami was also in attendance.
The graduates underwent comprehensive basic training, covering theoretical and practical lessons essential for their roles in security tasks and special assignments.
Since 2019, Saudi Arabia has opened its armed forces to women, allowing them to join various military branches.
Women can enlist in the Saudi Arabian Army, Royal Saudi Air Defense, Royal Saudi Navy, Royal Saudi Strategic Missile Force, and Armed Forces Medical Services, and can be ranked as soldiers, lance corporals, corporals, sergeants, and staff sergeants.
