Trump has been indicted for refusing to give classified documents to the National Archives and Records Administration after leaving the White House

Trump has been indicted for refusing to give classified documents to the National Archives and Records Administration after leaving the White House

He has given different reasons for keeping the materials, including wanting to remove personal items, but has denied keeping classified documents.
Trump has also changed his story about a classified Pentagon document that he waved in front of people.

Former Attorney General William Barr has criticized Trump's conduct and said it was a "flagrant crime." Trump's former secretary of defense, Mark Esper, has also called out Trump's actions as "irresponsible" and said they could be harmful to national security.

A magistrate judge has agreed to a request to prevent Trump and his co-defendant from discussing information handed over to their lawyers.

Trump is facing legal trouble, with two attorneys general and a Senate seat being involved during his time in the White House.

His former Vice President, Mike Pence, is among the 2024 Republican presidential candidates who believe the legal process should proceed.

However, Trump's position in the primary has solidified despite questions about his fitness to conduct the nation's business.

Some Republicans are defending Trump's actions, while others argue that it's unfair to prosecute him.

Former Attorney General William Barr believes that Trump should not be prosecuted for his actions in the 2020 election, arguing that a candidate should have First Amendment rights.

However, Trump's prosecution is still a possibility in both Fulton County, Georgia and at the federal level.

Attorney General William Barr has stated that the country cannot be used as a "therapy session" for a "troubled man" like the former President.

The statement was made in reference to claims made by former President Donald Trump that his administration was spied on by the previous one.

CNN reported on Barr's remarks.
