Saudi Arabia's Oil Park Development Company, under the Public Investment Fund, has unveiled THE RIG., an offshore adventure tourism project that is set to transform the sector.
In line with Saudi Vision 2030's objectives, THE RIG. will boost tourism, create jobs, and support economic diversification.
Situated 40km offshore near Al Juraid Island, THE RIG. spans over 300,000 square meters and celebrates the nation's oil legacy. It plans to draw over 900,000 visitors annually by 2032, offering activities for thrill-seekers and those seeking leisure alike.
The site will feature three hotels with 800 rooms, 11 dining venues, adventure sports facilities, a marina, and helipads. Attractions will include a diving center, amusement and splash parks, an E-sports hub, theater, and arena. THE RIG. is destined to become a premier global destination.
