Syria's Potential for Recovery and Stability: A Message of Hope

Syria's Potential for Recovery and Stability: A Message of Hope

Eid Al-Adha Prayers in Aleppo Highlight Unity, Reconstruction Efforts
In a significant display of unity and hope, Syrian President Ahmad Al-Sharaa led Eid Al-Adha prayers at the historic Abdallah bin Abbas Mosque in Aleppo.

The ceremony, attended by state officials and a large number of worshippers, was officiated by Sheikh Mutie Al-Batin, who emphasized Islam's core value of optimism as a driving force for work, construction, and resilience against challenging circumstances.

According to Al-Batin, Syria's potential for recovery and stability is rooted in the unity of its people, the return of citizens to participate in reconstruction efforts, the strengthening of community initiatives, and the promotion of coexistence and diversity values.

The presence of young Syrians returning from abroad and displacement camps to engage in the nation’s rebuilding projects and initiate volunteer and development programs signifies the hope that pervades Syria.

Al-Batin noted another source of optimism as being the leaders who are open to advice and inclusive of all Syrians, regardless of their opinions or affiliations.

Following the Eid prayer, President Al-Sharaa received well-wishes from the worshippers and met with local dignitaries and community figures.

A notable aspect of his visit was to the Citadel of Aleppo, where he highlighted the city's central role in Syria’s reconstruction efforts.

He wrote in the register that Aleppo served as a gateway to liberating all of Syria and would be instrumental in its future prosperity.

Accompanying the president during the visit were Governor Azzam Al-Gharib of Aleppo, Deputy Interior Minister Maj. Gen. Abdul Qader Tahhan, and Damascus Governor Maher Marwan Idlbi.

This visit underscored the city's pivotal role in the nation’s recovery plans.
