Saudi Power Procurement Company Prequalifies Developers for 12 GWh Battery Storage Expansion
Saudi Arabia’s Power Procurement Company has shortlisted 27 local and international developers for the second phase of its battery energy storage programme, which targets a total capacity of 12 gigawatt-hours. The projects, spread across six provinces including Qassim, Makkah and the Eastern Province, are designed to strengthen grid stability through independent storage provider models under build-own-operate arrangements overseen by the Ministry of Energy.
