Saudi Arabia Showcases Infrastructure Growth at Paris Infraweek

Riyadh: The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia highlighted its growing global significance in the infrastructure sector during the Paris Infraweek event, which took place from November 3 to 7.
CEO of the Saudi Investment Promotion Authority, Khaled Alkhattaf, led the delegation as the guest of honor.In his address at the annual international event held in the French capital, Alkhattaf reaffirmed Saudi Arabia's commitment to strengthening its role as a regional and global leader in infrastructure development.
According to the Saudi Press Agency, he outlined the ambitious transformation driven by Vision 2030, which focuses on innovation, sustainability, and international collaboration, aimed at attracting foreign investment and advancing mega-development projects.Alkhattaf announced that Saudi Arabia plans to invest approximately $1 trillion in infrastructure over the coming years.
This investment will cover various sectors such as communications, information technology, healthcare, education, and industrial zones.
Notably, 50 percent of this investment will target key areas including energy, water, and transportation, as reported by SPA.During the event, the Saudi delegation presented the Kingdom's infrastructure strategy and explored investment opportunities in key sectors like railways and major projects.
They also discussed ways to enhance cooperation ahead of significant events such as Expo 2030 in Riyadh and the 2034 FIFA World Cup.
Additionally, Alkhattaf and his team held meetings with international officials to strengthen economic ties, promote mutual investment, and expand collaboration across sectors.
