Saudi Arabia Participates in AI Action Summit in Paris

PARIS — Prince Faisal bin Farhan, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia, represented Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman at the Artificial Intelligence (AI) Action Summit held in Paris on Tuesday.
The summit aims to discuss the implications of artificial intelligence on various societies, explore the potential benefits of AI, and promote enhanced multilateral collaboration in technology for the advancement of humanity and the achievement of sustainable development goals.
The Saudi delegation included notable figures such as Dr. Abdullah Alghamdi, President of the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA), and Fahad Alruwaily, the Saudi ambassador to France.
The two-day summit, taking place at the Grand Palais in Paris, has drawn participation from numerous heads of state, representatives of international organizations, leaders from both small and large corporations, academics, non-governmental organizations, artists, and members of civil society.
This third edition of the AI Action Summit centers on five key themes: public service AI, the future of work, innovation and culture, trust in AI, and the global governance of AI. The event showcases global leaders' commitments to harness AI technology for positive societal impact and fosters dialogue on the ethical and practical challenges associated with its implementation.
