Saudi Arabia is making strides in its climate ambitions by enhancing its carbon markets with a new agreement witnessed in Riyadh, aiming for net-zero emissions by 2060 and a significant cut in carbon emissions by 2030.

In line with these sustainability efforts, Saudi Arabia also plans to boost maritime tourism, targeting 10 new cruise destinations by 2030 and fostering job creation in the process.

Expanding beyond tourism, Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Ltd. has opened a new office in Riyadh, underscoring the growing financial ties between Asia and the Middle East.

Further emphasizing sustainability, Saudi Aramco and Riyadh Air have teamed up to promote low-carbon aviation fuel as part of wider efforts to cut emissions and bolster environmental initiatives.

On the diplomatic front, Saudi Arabia is calling on the UN to reinforce its role in the Middle East peace process, stressing the urgency of a two-state solution rooted in international law.

All these efforts are part of Saudi Arabia’s larger Vision 2030 plan, which has fueled growth in the non-oil sector and inspired global partnerships, contributing to a 70% increase in private investments and a robust economic transformation.
