Minister Launches Updated Salamah Portal for Civil Defense Licensing and Services in Riyadh
Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif, the Minister of Interior, introduced the updated Salamah Portal for the Saudi Civil Defense Directorate in Riyadh.
This new identity allows public and private sectors to access licensing procedures through an integrated electronic system with multiple government agencies.
The goal is to simplify the investor's journey and ensure a safe environment by providing fire prevention and protection requirements.
The Salamah Portal offers various civil defense services to investors with ease.
The minister inaugurated new electronic services on the Absher Business platform, bringing the total to 34.
These services include amending and extending licenses, and an investor's journey statement.
The minister also inspected the Civil Defense headquarters, where he reviewed modern mechanisms and teams using advanced global technology.
The Director General of Civil Defense briefed the minister on the directorate's accomplishments in 2023 and goals for 2024/2025.
A ceremony was held with several high-ranking officials in attendance.
The attendees included Prince Bandar bin Abdullah bin Mishari, Assistant Minister of Interior for Technology Affairs; Sheikh Abdul Salam Al-Sulaiman, Member of the Council of Senior Scholars and the Permanent Committee for Fatwa; Lt. Gen. Saeed Al-Qahtani, Assistant Minister of Interior for Operations Affairs; Dr. Hisham Al-Falih, Assistant Minister of Interior; Dr. Khalid Al-Battal, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior; Muhammad Al-Muhanna, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Security Affairs; and Lt. Gen. Muhammad Al-Bassami, Director of Public Security.
