Maritime Safety Exhibition Highlights Importance of Safe Practices at Sea
Exhibition organized by General Directorate of Border Guard promotes safety awareness and warns against swimming in unauthorized areas.
The Maritime Safety Awareness Exhibition, hosted by the General Directorate of Border Guard, is currently underway in the Eastern Province to emphasize the significance of safe maritime practices.
Running until Thursday at the Mall of Dhahran, the exhibition focuses on key beach safety guidelines, the consequences of rule violations, and guidance for responsible behavior at sea.
Additionally, it showcases the directorate's search-and-rescue efforts, aimed at ensuring public safety on water bodies.
Visitors are encouraged to check weather conditions before heading out, remain cautious during abrupt changes in weather, and ensure that their vessels are seaworthy.
The Border Guard stresses the importance of adhering to safety instructions and recommends swimming only in designated areas.
This warning comes following recent incidents where teams from Haql and Jeddah have rescued individuals from dangerous situations at sea.
To address emergencies, the public is advised to contact 911 in Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province, while using 994 for assistance elsewhere in the Kingdom.
This exhibition aims to raise awareness on maritime safety and prevent incidents by promoting responsible behavior among beachgoers and mariners.
