LuLu's Saudi Mango Festival: Celebrating 24 Local Varieties and Promoting Saudi Agriculture
The LuLu Saudi Mango Festival 2024 highlights twenty-four local mango varieties grown in Saudi Arabia.
The festival was inaugurated at three different Lulu Hypermarkets: in Riyadh by Eng.
Muhammad Al-Abdullatif and M.
Suleiman bin Saleh Al-Jutaili, in Jeddah by Engineer Majid bin Abdullah Al-Khalifa and his deputy, and in Dammam's Al-Shatea Al-Sharqi District in cooperation with the Alrowia Cooperative Society for Agricultural Marketing, by Engineer Fahd bin Ahmed Al-Hamzi.
The Saudi Mango Festival is a part of a long-term initiative to showcase and support Saudi agriculture and farmers.
Running from now until 7 May, the festival offers shoppers the chance to try various Saudi mango varieties, including Mango Sudani, Baladi (Kabeer, Koora, Zibta), Zill, Thoomi, Keeth, Selastion, Shila, Zibta Ahler, and more.
Additionally, popular mango varieties from other countries, such as Langra, Thai, Indian, South American, and African, will be presented, having been carefully grafted and cultivated in Saudi soil.
The festival will showcase the mangoes in various forms, such as ripe and raw, cooked, lightly salted, or spiced.
Desserts, curries, pickles, and smoothies made from these mangoes will also be available.
The Lulu "Mango Mania" Festival has been inaugurated at Lulu Hypermarket, featuring a variety of ripe and raw mangoes, as well as promotions and treats in the hot and cold food sections.
Items include mango fish curry, mango chicken curry, stuffed chicken breasts, traditional treats like Aamras and puri bread, and healthy moothies.

Muhammad Al-Abdullatif, Assistant Undersecretary for Agricultural Facilities and Supportive Services, expressed pleasure at the bumper mango harvest in Saudi Arabia and LuLu's role in showcasing it.
LuLu aims to continue innovating and offering popular fruit and vegetables for health-conscious and taste-conscious shoppers.
Shehim Mohammed, a representative of a Saudi mango promotion campaign, announced the launch of the campaign to celebrate Saudi farmers' success and promote 24 varieties of Saudi mangoes.
The campaign aims to highlight the fruits' health benefits and great taste for the summer season.
The inauguration took place in Riyadh with the attendance of Dr. Ibrahim Al-Turki, Eng.
Nayef Al-Masoudi, and Jordanian Minister of Agriculture, Eng.
Khaled Hanifat.
The delegation in Jeddah included Dr. Abdul-Mane bin Issa Al-Khaibari, Eng.
Muhammad bin Ali Al-Shehri, and Eng.
the Office of the Minister of Environment in Jeddah Governorate.
The campaign intends to applaud the efforts of Saudi farmers and provide shoppers with a happy mango tasting experience.
