Jordan Sends Humanitarian Aid Convoy to Syria's Southern Region

LONDON: The Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO) coordinated with the Ministry of Foreign and Expatriate Affairs and the Jordan Armed Forces to send a new humanitarian aid convoy to Syria on Sunday.
This initiative is part of ongoing efforts to support the Syrian people affected by the ongoing crisis in their country.The JHCO's latest mission included 16 trucks, loaded with prefabricated homes intended for families displaced or in need of shelter due to recent tragic events in southern Syria.
The aid also encompassed medical supplies and medicines aimed at addressing urgent health needs across various regions within Syria.According to Hussein Shibli, the Secretary-General of the JHCO, these resources were secured through partnerships with organizations such as the Helping Hand Foundation, MedGlobal, and Hikma Pharmaceuticals.
These contributions are expected to make a significant difference in alleviating some of the pressing humanitarian challenges faced by Syrians.The Syrian Crescent has been appointed as the entity responsible for distributing this aid specifically within the southern Suwayda Governorate and Daraa areas.
These locations have witnessed recent distressing events, which have resulted in the displacement of many individuals and necessitate immediate assistance.
