Fruit Exhibition Showcases Al-Qassim's Agricultural Richness
Three-day event in Buraidah Dates City highlights regional produce and farming expertise.
BURAIDAH: The "Atayeb Thimar Al-Qassim" exhibition, showcasing the agricultural delights of Al-Qassim region, opened its doors at Al-Nakhla Center in Buraidah Dates City on Thursday.
Organized by the Emirate of Al-Qassim in partnership with the Al-Qassim Chamber of Commerce, the event drew a significant number of farmers and industry professionals from the food and agriculture sectors.The exhibition will run for three days, featuring a diverse array of seasonal produce for which Al-Qassim is famous.
This includes watermelons, melons, strawberries, grapes, pomegranates, peaches, and figs.
A standout attraction is an extensive display of over 150 varieties of pumpkins, including some weighing more than 500 kilograms, aimed at demonstrating the expertise of local farmers.Salman Al-Suwainea, director general of the Qassim branch of the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture, highlighted that "the region's unique agricultural diversity has solidified its reputation as a leading agricultural hub within the Kingdom."
