Food Culture Festival Brings Culinary Delights to Alkhobar
The Food Culture Festival transforms Alkhobar’s seafront into a culinary hub, offering a diverse range of international dishes and cultural experiences.
The Food Culture Festival, running until February 2, 2025, has turned Alkhobar’s seafront into a vibrant venue for culinary exploration and cultural exchange.
The festival features over 30 varieties of food, with 12 kiosks offering dishes from Saudi, Italian, Turkish, American, Chinese, and Thai cuisines, among others.
Highlights include oversized food sculptures, such as a giant hamburger and pizza slice, leading visitors into the food-filled experience.
Attendees can enjoy live music, interactive spaces, and food-related workshops, such as sushi making and food photography, though some require separate tickets.
A key part of the festival is its collaboration with the Quality of Life Program, which promotes diverse culinary traditions.
Visitors are given a festival passport to complete culinary quests for a chance to win a prize.
The event also includes entertainment, with performances like Arabic music, Bharatanatyam dance, and a Chinese dragon dance to celebrate the Lunar New Year.
Additionally, there are carnival games and shows to engage attendees.
For families, the festival offers workshops for children, introducing them to global food cultures through activities like fruit tastings and baking sessions.
Local vendors also bring unique offerings, such as Soma’s Saudi twist on a Syrian dish, featuring Hasawi lemon.
Filipino products are also showcased with the support of the Philippine embassy.
The festival is open daily from 4 p.m. to midnight.
After its stop in Alkhobar, the event will travel to Riyadh from February 5-9 and Jeddah from February 12-16. Tickets for workshops and events can be booked through the festival’s Instagram page.
