The Ministry of Tourism has recently closed 25 hospitality facilities in Makkah, Saudi Arabia, as a result of intensified inspection campaigns aimed at ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
According to the ministry's announcement on Thursday, these closures were prompted by various violations including operating without valid licenses, subpar maintenance and cleanliness, and issues concerning guest safety.The inspections are part of ongoing efforts by the Ministry of Tourism to ensure that establishments meet all necessary requirements and possess the requisite permits for operation.
This initiative is closely tied to the broader objective of enhancing service quality for visitors and pilgrims during the peak Umrah and Hajj seasons.The Ministry stressed the critical nature of adhering to Saudi Arabia's tourism laws and bylaws, noting that penalties for non-compliance may include fines of up to SR1 million or closure orders.
